I have a 2005 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD, 6.6 L . I have no power when pedal is depressed. It will idle in the driveway all day long until you give it the fuel and it boggs out and puts out the billow of blue smoke. It will idle along the road but when you give it the fuel it looses power. I changed the fuel filter and no change. There is no leak around the fuel filter. The two wires in the WIF sensor were corroded of. Would that make a difference?

The wires around the WIF will make no difference at all - the sensor can be completely deleted with no ill effect. Any check engine light or codes? Have you checked your air filter and intercooler boots?

Definitely check your intercooler boots, I had the lower driver side clamp rot away, and the boot popped of, truck had similar symptoms as you described.
Any codes stored would be helpful too.

If the boot popped off, you should be seeing a code for under boost?

Could be a malfunctioning MAF sensor? The intake coming off and a bad MAF would probably do the same thing wouldn't they?

Or,......some dummy put a rag in the intake when they blew out the air filter box with compressed air so the leaves and dirt wouldn't get in - then forgot to remove the rag. Ugh. I'm not sayin' I did this but... I got distracted:rolleyes:
