I just noticed that my truck will only blow hot air through the floor and side vents in deforst. I was told that 03's dont have filters, what could be causing this???????????????

Sounds like the door that directs the air up to the defrost vents inside the HVAC unit is not working. Probably the little actuator motor is froze up.

Try to restart the truck and then try switching between the different vent setttings to see if you can free it up. Otherwise you have to fix/replace the actuator, which is not a fun job. Look for the posts by Dmaxitol..he found out how to fix the actuators.


No, the 03-up trucks do not have filters. They wouldn't cause a problem like this.
