Just got my first diesel it's the 6.5
Having problem with waste gate not building boost vac leak but my question is if I bypass the solenoid run straight to the vacuum pump to the wastegate is this going to hurt anything. Will this be to much vac ?

Welcome to DieselPlace

It will be too much vacuum.
The ECM controls the amount of vacuum through the wastegate solenoid.
Start by inspecting every inch of your vacuum lines. If you have the stock, plastic lines, I recommend that you replace them with rubber line.
The plastic line become brittle junk over time.

Verify your solenoid has 12v. at the connector. If not, check fuses
Verify your vacuum pump is operating properly. You should see no less than 22hg. just aft of the pump using a vac. guage ( If less replace the vac pump.)
Replace the Solenoid ( AC/Delco Brand only)
