Hello! Have owned several 6.2 and 6.5 gm diesel trucks, all k-1500, k-2500s. Currently have "99 K1500 6.5 with 267,000 miles, and a 98 k2500 6.5 with 191,324 miles. Only problem with both trucks is, of course, the PMD and pump. (5 PMD's, and 4 pump rebuilds. My Question: I still own a 85 6.2 K5 Blazer with 433,390 miles on the engine. Still runs fine, with only 1 pump rebuild. How many miles before overhaul should I expect to get on my 2 6.5s? Both trucks are serviced, and oil changed at 5000 mile entervals.( Mobil Delvac 1200 and Mobil 1 filters). Both trucks are "service" trucks with highway milage of about 300-500 miles a week. The K2500 hauls a trencher.
