Hey all! I just bought and rebuilt the front end of a wrecked 2005 Silverado, that sure looks like it's had a ton of money put into it. (No Pics yet, but I'll get them in soon). I've never driven an Allison before, but it seems like it's got a Jake Brake on when in a parking lot going slow. I'm trying to find all info on whatever mods were done to it, could there be a Tranny reprogram that is making it feel like this? Or is it natural? I guess I'll need to find someone with a programmer to find out if its been reprogrammed for power or towing? Any tips would help. I love the power and look. I also think I want to lower it some, as the 6" seems to be a little tall for the Cabover Camper I carry. Haven't taken it on mountain roads yet, but I'm just concerned about stability.
