Just wondering what RPM should the motor be running at when the truck is traveling 60 MPH? I know the truck is a 5 spd. auto, but it just seems like the truck is in desparate need of another gear on the highway. I think at around 60 or 70 it's running 2000-2100 RPM's, could it cause damage driving faster than that??

No, sounds within reason. My 04 was running around 2000 at 70 or so with 285's.

What year is your truck?
What size tires are you running?
What kind if any programmer are you running?

You sure its an LB7?

Is it making noises? Are you burning excess fuel?
No, not at all. Lots of members really wrap them out and never have problems. And just so you know, the sweet spot for mileage is under 2k rpms.
