That would be the 4WD actuator.
Unclip the wires to the actuator and unscrew the actuator.
THIS. Had the same issue ages ago. Actuator was finger loose. Took it out. Cleaned it up. Added some thread sealer (rtv or tape maybe, can't recall) to the threads. Put it back in tighter than GM did. Additionally, several bolts on the bell housing of the front dif were finger loose. As were many on the tranny. Check 'em all while you're there. My street queen had MANY non-torqued bolts right from GM. A day with the torque wrench did wonders for a clean underside.
