Had my 2001 2500hd at the dealer last week. Asked about injector test and warranty. Was told that the test was about 2 hours labour. I then asked if this would be coverd by warranty if any of the injectors were found to be bad. I was told that GM would only warranty my injectors if all eight proved to be bad, If they were not all bad the problem would be due to poor fuel. Then went on to tell me about the notouriosly bad fuel we have here in western Canada. (news to me.) Is the dealer correct? I belive I may have some injector problems, butt all eight?

Yeah, its a special policy that adjust the factory injector warranty to 7 years/200K miles on the injectors. If you have fuel in crankcase (truck runs like crap, rough idle, bad dieselmileage) that policy number says that ALL 8 injectors would be replaced.
Find another dealer. :D

Does this mean that the injectors on my 04 LB7 aren't covered under this policy? Or am I only covered up to 100,000 miles?

Doesn't matter if one or eight are bad, they all get replaced. Pulled into one dealership (Landmark) in Houston who told me that the smoking at an idle wasn't covered, went to a different dealer Friday and was told to bring it back when I could be without it for a couple days and they would replace all eight, he said his mech is a little slow but very good.

A GM dealer saying that all 8 injectors have to be bad is like a tire dealer saying they will only replace a bad tire if all 4 are flat. Find another dealer is what i recommend.

No problems reading it here. I'll see if I can get a better copy tonight when I have more time.

04 injectors are not covered under this. Just the standard power train. But keep it handy just in-case. It could help when talking with GM if yours need replacing.

Mine went in Alberta and after making them do the big 2 hour test they found 3 of mine were buggerd, They then replaced all of them. The worst is, for the amount of smoke that was billowing out of my truck they tried to tell me it "FINE" twice before. Keep on them.
