Hey guys stopped at motor trucks to grab what used to be a 15$ spin on factory allison replacement...but got a 22$ fleetguard china replacement. WTF, no need to say i turned it down and will stick with Eric from now on, it is a shame that a cheaper replacement is more?

Filters and Trucks

Yes it is a shame that the China Brand is more, but that is what happens when you keep outsourcing products overseas to these countries to be made. Our Trucks are not full made in the US,most are assembled in Canada or Mexico, and you have Toyota, Honda and Nissan with plants here in the US.
WOW, Go Figure! I have stocked up on filters myself, I bought all of mine by the case so I am prepared.

Agreed..

Anyone near Richmond Va can get the OEM ally filters for about $9 from Branch Diesel, near the Gander Mountain, just off I95.

Wix trans filters are also made in China. I noticed that Wix and Baldwin ones the magnet covers the holes in the filter. The Allison one has the holes wider and the mag. goes inside them.
