I just had injectors done on my truck at ~100,000 and when looking under the hood it seems as though they failed to reinstall a bleeder screw or soem sort of bolt on the top of the t-stat housing; there's a threaded hole that was never open before, and it appears as though a bleeder screw or bolt should go there. I've had some issues with low coolant, but after adding some, it seems to have worked itself out. Anyone know what goes there?

There are 3 or 4 bolts on the outter rim of the housing and 1 on the top in front on mine, I always thought it was a bleeder screw of sorts but I do have on there

Yes, my LB7 has a bolt in the top of the housing. IIRC its purpose was detailed in the owners manual. I fail to understand how one can go very far w/o it in place ~

Attached is a picture of the bolt that I believe is missing. I'll have to go check my truck and see if that's the one, but I'm pretty sure the one I have circled is missing. I drove the truck over 600 miles before noticing this, and it seemed to have no problems.

The one with the X is the bleeder. The one you seem to be missing is for a wiring harness bracket. Try looking around see if the braket is hanging off the harness.

Thanks for the info, I'll check ASAP. I find it interesting that the technician was skilled enough to remove valve covers, removed injectors, replace with new injectors, replace all the gaskets, re-attach all the lines, prime the system, get the engine to fire, and make the truck run smoothly again, but failed to re-attach a braket requiring one bolt. I'm sure its not an issue of competence, probably just an oversight, but it's slightly unnerving considering even small oversights can cause significant damage.
