After OEM pump, injector kit installed and cleaned. Throwing a p026D on my 2013 lml. All data doesn’t shoe the code. Looking for info on the strategy and what the computer is looking at to set the code. Side note, yes I programmed the injector rates. This is the only code I’m getting and the truck runs great. That’s for the help.

I saw that post.
P026D Fuel Injector (high mass flow) Component / System (Fuel System Monitoring Injection Quantity – High) Monitor Strategy Description (Actual air fuel ratio based fueling compared to expected).. I’m having a understanding issue of how it actually monitors the fuel ratio. Like gassers use o2 sensor/fuel trim to get perfect fuel ratio? How does this diesel/lml do its thing?

I’m new at this, what is injector kit?
You never had P026d befor your work?
How does your truck run?
When is P026d triggered?
What are your injector balance rates?
Have you ever replaced NOx 1 or 2?

In order to compensate for variations in the fuel system, the fuel mass observer function adapts a correction quantity using the difference between the measured and modeled oxygen content of the exhaust gas coming from NOx Sensor 1. A DTC will set when the correction quantity reaches the emission OBD limit. If the correction quantity is below the calibrated threshold for a specified time, the corresponding “Injection Quantity Too Low” fault will be set. If the correction quantity is above the calibrated threshold for a specified time, the corresponding “Injection Quantity Too High” fault will be set.

Intake leak or exhaust leak could also throw the mix off. Your MAF parameters should read between 10 and 40 gs also. Or your NOX sensor could be bad.

On point. Many thanks to everyone. That explains everything. After repairs it would throw a pending p026d, a day or 2 later mil would set 4 miles away cold start coming to stop. I was frustrated yesterday, forced another, second regin since putting together, noticed a little smoke coming from down pipe clamp. I didn’t even have to take it off but first couple hours in the job it looked to be the easiest thing to do on the truck.. After the truck cold down, I refit the down pipe clamp. Mil nor pending code hasn’t come back. I just checked my maf, 15.4gs and O2 1 content, approx 0? I thought the nox where just used for regin? The job was no fun, hope I’m in the clear. Thanks again for clearing up the questions
