Not good, my friend - so, after you get your 10k pot, place it on the intake plenum next to the Map Sensor.
Compare how sturdy, durable, the pot looks on the plenum, then on the Map connector.
Decide which place to mount the pot, then, noting the wire colors from the schematic, cut the appropriate wire coming out of the Map Sensor connector to the length which will allow you to mount the pot.

I don't have a pic (don't have a pot), but the note about tie-wrapping (same as zip tie) the MAP connector is spot on. I noticed a couple of days ago the catching/locking part of the map connector on my truck was heat cracked w/ most of it missing.
Dielectric grease and a zip tie and that connector is cozy again.
I removed the power steering pulley when replacing the water pump used a pulley remover. That said the pulley will not go back on completely it stops short of a 1/4-3/8 inch using an installer. I don't see anything in the way on the shaft or the in the pulley hole. Any ideas before I pull the...
Well today I took went and got my batteries tested again. Had them tested where they actually drain and recharge it... needless to say I bought 2 new batteries. That and It would not start a few weeks ago with the radio on for about 15 min.

There's a parts truck near me and I was thinking of grabbing some stuff, including the fuel tank. Is there a quick and easy way to identify what size it is and if the sending unit is compatible with my harness? Mine is a 2000 long bed. The parts truck is a 97 long bed, according to the owner...

i purchased the oil cooler lines on quadstar, i ordered the 3/8 cooler side and 3/8 blockside. i messed up i have a 3/8" fitting on the cooler side and 1/2" on the block side. so to help anyone else from making this mistake...
