My father in law doesn't`t like how tall his new truck is.
He is used to his old 05 duramax and the new one is giving him fits.

Is there a good way to lower these things without loosing towing capacity?

His truck is a ccsb.

They settle down if you put weight in it/pull. I bet my truck is at least 3" lower than when new. I would just buy him a step stool so he can get on the running board. Tell him its just the way all the trucks are made now

I bet yours has settled down some...444thousand miles.
Do you ever shut the truck off?

He`s got 30 thousand klms on it.

So shakles will lower the back 1 and a 1/2.

Anyway to lower the front?
