I Just had all 8 injectors replaced under warranty at ~100,00mi. After picking up the truck, I drove it about 50 miles, shut it off last night, and started it back up thismorning. When I started it up, I got a Low Coolant message on the DIC. I checked the coolant and added about a gallon. 25 miles later, I shut the truck off, and when I started it back up, I got the Low Cooland message again. The coolant is plenty full, and I'm not sure if maybe the sensor just hasn't reset yet.

Any way injector replacement could cause this? They added 2gallons of dex-cool when it was in there, I would assume this means 4 gallons total (including water). The truck heats up as fast as it used to; I've a winter front in the upper grill (none in the lower grill). The oil temp/pressure looks normal, and once it gets up and running the coolant temp looks normal.

Hopefully they just didn't get all the air out. If it continues to use coolant then they most likely disturbed one of the injector cups in there. When they disturb, or dislodge them they are supposed to replace them. Some inexperienced dealers don't realize that.:( Also look for leaks around the hose connections of course. Any puddles on the ground?

Check your invoice and see if any of the cups are listed.

Have the water pump checked. After our injectors were replaced, we were loosing coolant, with no puddle. Turns out it was the WP ,replaced under warranty with $100 deductible.

Same thing happened to me. I had to add a over a gallon after my injectors were changed. It took about 3 times topping it off until it finally quit. It's been about 3 months since I last added any, and haven't had to since. I asked the dealer about it and they said sometimes they don't get all the air out.

Low Coolant After New Injectors

I just got mine back the other day from getting 8 new injectors and I've already had to add coolant twice. It blows white smoke for about 1/4 mile down the road after s/u. Going back to dealer in the morning.

At first I thought it was air too, but I put over 6 gallons in. That's when it went back to the dealer.
