Unless you're towing something heavy, I'd get the gas.

Thanks turboawd for your input... I am tallying the responses from duramax owners that I have received... Based on the responses I have received, it appears to be a tie between going with a diesel or going with a gasser... Which is interesting...

I will say that owning diesels in my c3500 6.5 TD and the ram promaster fiat diesel. I am a huge diesel proponent. That being said I bought both of these rigs for work. Heavy weight all day every day. Now that being said I am concerned with the newer diesel having emission issues, and basic simple broken components costing thousands as opposed to hundreds. The older diesel in my chevy is simple and easy to work on. But I honestly would go with a gasser next van unless one of the euro vans comes up with a much better reputation for diesel price fairness. Cost of ownership. And yeah the euro van is different but it's great for trades men like sparky's
