It has the 2500 frame hanging down, 8 lug wheels, and the towing mirrors

It is a 2500HD with an LB7, Allison, and Z71 (1/2 only) decals.

The aftermarket wheels and tires along with the way the photo was taken makes it look different.

I noticed the 8 lug wheels, but what threw me off was the Z71 and how low it looks like the back end is sitting.

yeah I took one look at the VIN ("K2"= 4x4 3/4 ton, "1"=LB7 Dmax) and knew it was a "real" 3/4 tonner but just has Z71 stickers...

it does look like its dragging the frame rails tho (dont they all? :) ) and sitting lower than normal...

also...look at the top of the bumper...that black piece is taller on the 2500/3500 trucks..the 1500 has a smaller not so tall black pice...the 2500/3500 has to compensate for the 2in body lift.

Tons of ppl throw those Z71 stickers on 2500,heck even Doolies

Now that I look at it I think its the wheels that make it look so low.

I'm suspecting it's a wreck rebuild and they "mix-n-matched" a 1500 bed? Would require a VIN check, for sure.

The question was do they make a 2500 Z-71, The answer is no, I know I bought a 2004 and they did not have a Z-71 trim package in the 2500, only the 1500. My 93 1500 Z-71 did come with a diesel and I had to put 3/4 ton springs in the rear in 96 when I got my 5th wheel, No Duramax has been put in a Z-71 1500, the 1500 lost the diesel option when they started the Duramax series.
