You can check the month & year your truck was completed by looking at the white sticker on the edge of the driver's door. In one corner it will have the month & year of manufacture. The question I had is how can you tell from the vin the date of manufacture? Also, how can you tell when the split occured between the LLY versions?
Yep, thats what mine has.The LLY has always been 310 HP, the LB7 is 300 HP
The LLY Torque split happened when Cummins came out with the "600". GM upped the LLY torque from 590 to 605 to beat the Cummins, which lead Cummins to up the torque on the "600" to 610 to beat the Duramax... lol...
Again in real life you won't notice the difference, but I believe the 05 LLY's are 605 Torque and the 04.5 LLY's are 590.
