I seem to get asked this in alot of PM's. Not that I mind PM's, but I figured I'd post it for posterity (no pun intended).

You want to run one of the mileage tunes, but have a different OS than I do. Or, you flashed in one of my tunes and something unexpected also got changed.

1. Download my stock tune from the stock section of the repository (A).
2. Download the tune you want to try (B).
3. Use EFI's comparison function to see which parameters/tables have been changed (from A to B).
4. Start with your stock tune (C).
5. Copy over all the parameters/tables that I had changed from the trial tune (B) to your stock tune (C).
6. Save the tune under a new name (D).
7. Flash in the new tune (D).

This usually seems to work for people, and has the advantage of showing you everything that changed and how.

To get the same thing done even quicker :
1. Download my stock tune from the stock section of the repository (A).
2. Download the tune you want to try (B).
3. Load the stock tune and the tune you want to try as alternate tune.
4. Go to Edit->Create Script and save script file.
5. Load your OS stock tune (C).
6. Apply Edit -> Run Script and select "RUN"
7. Save the tune under a new name (D).
8. Flash in the new tune (D).

Make sure you have loaded your alt. tune.

Thoughts/comments?

I haven't had any problems with it other than having to redo the usual PID links. You have to upgrade to read some of the new custom OS's.

but I have upgraded the laptop yet either.
