I have a p0299 which is a low boost code I believe and p0401 and p0404 which are egr codes. The p0299 throws the pickup in limp mode or reduced engine power mode and I don't know what's wrong with it I've checked everything I know to. Also the turbo flutters alot if I boost it up against the brakes then let off or any other high boost situation. Any ideas?

When I had this problem with mine, it was intermittent and ended up being the egr valve sticking open. It was accompanied by severe loss of power and lots of black smoke. I also had code for MAF. Cure was to replace egr valve. The problem occurred at about 260,000 miles.

I would say it’s a possibility. Its an expensive part to see if it cures your problem. I’d wait and hopes someone with more knowledge would respond.
