I have this cracking/snapping noise from the front end of my LMM when turning slow (locked) in either direction. Sounds metal to metal, does anyone else experience this?
Is this normal on your LMM?

Don't do it! If you are in 4lock high or low it is the sound of the axles joints. They don't like to turn full stop & move. This bucking, poping, cracking, snapping or hopping is not a good thing. Don't do it if you don't have to. All full size 4X4 do it to some degree. If it does it when you are not in 4X4 your front axle maybe stuck in & you shold get it looked at.

Thanks Tom, I have a two wheel drive, and it does sound like the drivelash noise you describe, like what you'd here on a bad CV joint on a front wheel drive car. Not consistent though, just regular snapping at full lock.
