I have a question about lift pump for P0087 code. '07 C4500 stock LLY.. I installed the FASS Titanium Signature Series 165 GPH. Due to a custom bed I had to put the pump on a frame rail near the back of the cab. I plumbed the return to the back tank. Will the transfer pump keep up with the return/extra fuel not used by the engine?

I doubt it Your pump is 165 gallons per hour. The transfer pump is just a slow trickle pump

Actually, I just looked this pump up. It definitely has 165gph rating. It is designed for up to 800 hp engines, 16 - 18 psi.
I think the reason it flows so much is it constantly flows the fuel through the filters to polish the fuel, then dumps the excess back to the tank. As to weather the transfer pump will keep up, I would think you would return to main tank, not rear tank.
