LBZ power ?

Itraded my 04 2500 lly for an 07 350 drw lbz. I had 35's, an edge, intake , & exhaust on my 04 , I tow a 34 ft toyhauler alot so I bought the drw. yesterday I towed a 16 ft open trailer w/a jeep on it & it felt like it has alot less power than my lly even w/out the edge juice on the lly . Have any others had this problem, the truck only has 1,000 miles on it . Should I just put a chip on it ? I was thinking of an edge or a ppe . Thanks

I waited till about 10,000 miles to put a programmer on my truck. Intake and exuast helped mine out alot too. I would let it get broke in b4 putting a programmer on it. Good luck
How much power is enough is entirely up to each individual. My factory stock '06 dually LBZ has more power than any of my previous three diesels. I think it has plenty power and it'll pull my 14,000# 5th wheel up 9-10% grades with ease.

Either something is wrong with yours or your standards of how much power is enough are much higher than mine.

I might be wrong here but I am taking for granted that you have the allison automatic six speed tranny. My big problem with my 07 lbz is that the allison is a now a six speed automatic. My buddy has a 04 with the allison five speed automatic and his feels like it has more power. My 07 wont set you back in the seat like his 04 will, but turn on the tow-haul and he cant touch me towing any thing. I might be wrong but just my two cents worth.
Troll????????????????????
This is his first post and he claims he had a LLY and towed heavy????????????
I think he would have posted like crazy when he had the LLY.
Come on dude, you own a Furd or a Dodge and you just can't stand the power difference with the LBZ.
Take it somewhere else.
when my LBZ was stock it walked all over my bro's and dad's LLYs, be sure to use the pedal on the right...just my experience...also usually the harder you break it in, the stronger it will run...my bro ran the piss out of his LLY from the start and it slowly pulls away from the other LLY

Mabe he cheat and have a tuner and just put secretely a bigger and bigger tune on his lly as time go on...)
My truck felt strong fresh out of the box, but it seems to feel a little stronger every day. I have 5000 miles on it now, I think you need to put your foot in it and keep it there for a while and let the big dog eat! It needs some foot to break in right.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my question except dwrat , this was my first post on the diesel place and was just looking for some answers .

The truck only has a thousand miles on it. What more do you want out of it. Once it breaks in you will love it. Also, you are comparing a truck with a chip. Not only that, the new Ally adjusts to your driving. It is still only learning how you drive. Also, you have a lot more rolling and air resistance with a dually. Put an exhaust and an intake on it and go from there. Just give it time and all will be good. By the way :welcome2:

haha...yeah, i occaisionally find him trying to sneak in my truck and turn it back to stock so he can use my bullydog on his LLY. i think its just a fact that my dad babied his too much from the start and let mom drive it too much. everytime i get in it i have to clear it out for it to go anywhere.
