I've been a Beta tester for the Edge/Juice/Attitude, with my LBZ, for the last 5 months. The very first unit I had worked flawlessly. They sent out new updated modules, and had us send back the first ones. I made the mistake of sending my first unit back immediately, instead of waiting to see how the newer version worked. To this day, I have had nothing but problems with every unit they have sent me. The problem I'm having is intermittent, and completely random. It'll completely cut out, and I'll lose power for a second or so, which causes the truck to jerk quite bad. It happens cold or warm, towing or not. To Rob and Dave's credit, they have been sending me new units to try, but none have fixed the problem. They had me pull two wires out of the harness and connect them together, to bypass the module, which solved the problem, but caused more smoke, and worse fuel mileage. I am told that besides myself, there are only maybe two other guys having this problem, and that the engineering team doesn't have time to work on this problem, when only a couple people are actually affected by it. I'm trying to find out if anybody else is having this problem, or if I'm just in the minority. PM's are fine if you don't want to post here.

Thanks,
Jason

Yes, I am having this problem also. I haven't said anything to edge about it because it is completely random. It may go several days or even weeks without doing it and then all of a sudden it will hiccup for a second and then be fine. The worst was the other day I was pulling out into traffic and on the accelerator when the truck lost power for a split second. That scared the crap outta me.

I wish everybody that is having this problem would contact Edge and let Rob or Dave Bigelow know about it. They don't think it's a problem, because there is only three of us that have said anything about it.

I'll call them tomorrow and let them know.
I am having the exact same problem, it was doing it before i installed my TTS lift pumps and ppe boost controler, thought after i put those in it would fix itself. It is now also throwing P0101 MAF code, cleaned the sensore to see if that fixes it,are any of you guys expierencing that????? It doesn't do it on levels 1-4, but on 5 and 6 it cuts out pretty bad.....

I had a similar situation, guy I know was having this problem, we switched out boxes (his production unit for my Beta unit) and haven't heard from him since. I had his box in my truck, ran it for two weeks, didn't seem to feel what he was talking about. I only had a hessitation between 4th and 5th upshift. I just happened to be in Ogden on Thursday and had Rob switch it out, and got the same performance from the new unit as the old one. I am changing fuel filter tomorrow, so I will see if that fixes it.

I am having the same problem to. Mine is cutting out in any level, any gear, or any temperature. I got one right when they where releced and it had the problem. I called edge about it and they sent me a new one with turbo timer to try, and still same problem as before. I changed the juice, attitude, and wire harness with no luck. I am not getting any ses codes or anything I thought it was a fuel filter so i changed it and still same problem. I know it isent low rail pressure because I have had the ses light come on once in level 6 for low rail pressure going down a on ramp. I am stumped it is totally random some times it will cut out and cut back in in a split second, and some times it will totally fall on its face while excelerateing and the only way to get it to go again is totally let up on the throttle and get back into it again.
I have had it do it during high idle once. One morning I started the truck juice in level 2 and it idled for a minute and the high idle started to ramp up and bam it cut out for like a 1/4 of a second and went back to high idle.

My dad has Edge/Attitude on his LBZ and it does the same thing. I'll try to call Edge for him as soon as I can get the #'s off the Edge box.

"The poll" is asking if someone is having the exact same symptoms I am, and they then post to the affirmative, such as what JoshH did...

My problem has been with the turbo timer. I am on my third unit. Although this time, they have sent me a new thermocouple as well. Not looking forward to swapping that out. Otherwise it works fine. However, I only keep it on level 2 until I get some upgrades to the tranny.

JasonsDMax, I am the "other guy" you are referring to. I was having the problem so Edge sent me a new one and I installed my old box in my buddies truck (the 3rd Guy w/the problem)...Dave had him do the bypass and all that then eventually sent him a new one. My new one is doing well, in the 45 days I have had it I think it maybe stalled 2 or 3 times. I just drove from Southern AZ to Savannah GA at a truck and trailer weight of 21K and no stalls. I dont think my buddy has had a stall in a while either. Email or PM me if you want to talk further, I can give you my number.

I had a scary experience while passing a slow moving car this afternoon, in which it cut out bad when I was half way around. It set a code for the first time ever, which was the low fuel rail pressure code, and had a severe loss of power. I had to pull over, reset the code, shut the truck down, and restarted it. I got the power back, but it cut out again several more times, and I am unable to do full throttle, for worry of it cutting out and damaging something. When you're at full throttle and lose power, and then regain it, it's a pretty violent reaction. I'm done, and mine is going back for a refund.

How many miles on the filter. I just changed mine, black is all I can say, and got a P0087 on the way to the shop this morning. Got on it hard tonight, and no codes at all. Seemed to cure my problems with hessitation.

I have the same problem, mine still cuts out randomly when I have the wipers on and the fuel mileage is the worst. I only get 14mpg with mine. This is the second unit I have and the first one was around 18mpg. I wish I could get it switched out AGAIN.

This thread started out as cutting out/loss of power and towards the end sounds like a mid to full throttle miss(correct me if I'm wrong, sorry if I am). I happened to have called EDGE yesterday about a miss/cutting out in level 5 (90% throttle & up) and level 6 (60% throttle & up). whoever I talked to didn't really have much to say besides install some lift pumps and if it doesn't stop I'll have to send it in. Don't know if it's the same problem you guys are having but if so...............

I'm not sure about everyone else, but that is not the problem I am having. The problem I was having had nothing to do with throttle position or anything really. It would even do it sometimes while the truck was idling.
