was in the snow yesterday messing around then the check engine light came on scanned it and code 776 came up will move foward only at idle reverse is normal. Putting any power will not move foward, 88,000 edgew/ attitude only

how about giving us the year of your truck as well as what gear you were shifting into when the trans acted up. you could have burnt your c3 clutches or pulled a wire out of a terminal or have a failed solenoid b in the trans. I'm assuming your truck is a 02 or 03 as the 01 doesn't list this code. solenoid b acts on different clutches depending on what gear you were shifting into. soenoid b acts on clutches c1, c2, c3, and c4. how is the fluid. check the wiring where it plugs into the trans and see if you pulled the terminal out of the back of the trans.

It is likely the Transmission control module on the drivers side of the transmission. There are plugs with wires that run to it. These things do not like the moisture. I had mine replaced after backing my boat in the lake last summer. I ended up with only 3rd gear, and the number 3 flashing on my gear indicator. Try tapping it gently with the end of a screwdriver, it will likely get you to the dealer for a replacement.
