No engine oil additive of any kind should be used in our Duramax engines. Period. And yes, the use of any engine oil additive can void warranty. Gosh it is convenient for your dealer to be putting an automatic warranty void into your engine! Great guy..
It would most likely never get to the 'warranty void' point, obviously, since your dealer is installing. However, I would suggest you indicate to the dealer that the additive should not be used in your vehicle and point out the 'warranty voiding' aspects to him/her.
