Local mechanic informed me to replace my pitman/idler arms. I called chevy stealer my truck came from and they told me to buy a pitman arm for 190 dollars, passenger and driver side idler for 124 dollars each. I proceeded to call the local chevy stealer and they said there is only one pitman and one idler not this passenger driver crap. All in all, it is ridiculous to spend this much money on these parts. What should I buy including the Cognito support, and how much should they actually be priced?

does $180 seem way to much to just install a simple pitman and idler arm not including the cognito

Pending the labor rate.. I would say it takes about 1.5 - 2 hours to install GM parts and Cognito braces. It might take a shop/do-it-yourselfer alittle longer if they have not done this before.
