Has anyone put the JL under console box in? If so how do you like it and is it worth losing rear heat/cooling ducts?

Can't speak on the box you're talking about, or losing the console vents since my truck doesn't have one. But I built my own console stealth box. See my garage for pics.

ive got the jl stealth box, and i dont mind it. it does keep the sub out of sight, which i like. as far as loosing the rear a/c vents, well, i never ride back there anyway.......

maybe cause I had the bench seat I still have the vents that are under the driver and passenger seats so that wasnt a concern for me. the sub sounds great, i'm running it off a phoinex gold zx600. definately rocks the inside of the truck. I lost the middle seat... but who wants to be crowded while they are driving anyway right.

Well, thanks for the info. I might have to go get one. I was just worried it wouldn't be enough since my car has 2-15's with 3000 watts of power.

The bad thing about that is I keep alot of stuff under the seat. Thats why I was leaning towards the under console.

i can appreciate storing stuff under the seat..but if you really want it to come even close to your car you will need the air space from the under the seat box...the ones for behind the seat are a good alternative to the console box....but still will not have the cubic feet of air needed to really make some bass....if you ever get a chance to get this far north in NY i would be happy to show you mine...

the other thing is 2 15s require alot of power to make them move the air. the JL is only a 10 inch so its more efficient at making sound.and enclosure makes a big difference in how loud and where the peak sound is at frequency wise

Quik question Mike, with the under seat box, does it effect having the seat folded down? I leave mine down and have a air mattress back there for sleeping.

sent ya a pm on that...but for those interested...no the seat does not fold down flat...only goes down about 3/4....soooo in your particular use you will have to find another box..
