I have been wondering about the Jardine myself, the only thing that I wonder about is this: EASY TO INSTALL—no welding or cutting required (exception: 2000-2006 Duramax 6.6, some cutting may be required). Did you or your friend have to do any cutting B-rad?

More than likely the cutting is because they have one length for all cab and bed sizes.

sorry i didnt see this sooner guys. no welding required.i cut the old pipes with a sawzall for fast and easy removal and i installed it in about 45 minutes in the pouring rain in my gravel driveway. i have a crew cab log bed so i used ALL the pipes. it comes with all pipes needed for all cab configurations....but as i said i have only installed that one and it was on a CC/LB and it requires all the pipes to be used. it even came with the directions for the 4 different configurations.

Please do because I want to order one if it works out. Did you get the code blocker for the cat and who did you get it from?

i had jardine on my old truck and am waiting for a system on the one i have now. i am not sure about the no cutting or welding just because i had jerry jardine install it for me. i did put a system from him on my 99 cummins that i had and it came with all of the clamps and great directions. the only thing i had to cut was to cut the old system out and i just used a sawzaw. other then that i really like the 4 inch turbo back straight pipe system, it sounds good and it is pretty cheap. look on ebay, i got mine for $230

Yeah, I got mine for 235.00 on ebay as well, and I already had the finderstick and blocker plate that I purchased from Kennedy, I just haven't installed them yet.

Should I go muffler or straight? How big of a difference is the sound? I don't want it loud at idle or on the highway, just when I am getting on it.

i have a 4" straightpipe jardine "pinnacle power" exhaust on my '03. 30 minute install, fits great. you can even turn the tail piece so that your exhaust points straight out the back of the truck if you want smoke in peoples faces instead of on the side of the road. nice touch.

I've got the Jardine straight pipe system on my truck as well. Sounds like a jet at full throttle.......not real bad at all when just cruising.

calirider,

It'll be somewhat louder on any exhaust but it really depends on what muffler the system you select has. The MBRP and AFE systems have a packed muffler that dampens the resonance a lot that folks have issues about espeically if you tow. The last Jardine I saw had a hollow can no packing muffler and will be louder and resonate more than a packed muffler will be. Double check what they are currently using.

The Jardine straight pipe exhausts are hard to beat IMO. I don't know bout the muffler version.
