I just dropped my pan to change my internal filter and pan. I was suprised to find that I drained out a total of 11.5 qts. It sounds as though most people get around 7.5 to 9. I guess I parked with all the holes lined up just right! I replaced it all with Mobil 1 ATF, I don't think I'll bother with a flush.
Any reason I shouold be concerned with having 3 qts of the OEM fluid in the tranny?

That is exactly what I did a LONG time ago, and mine still runs with absolutly no problems.

I now have 172,000 miles and still going strong.
