I am trying to figure out how to remove that clamp on the LML also, it appears to be a lock ring, likely with tabs to be pushed in the 2 slots around the back. Gm trying to be sneaky and likely an O ring in it. Will look with a mirror tomorrow.

Any of you had experience with the dealer saying your head gaskets are leaking cause the rad is supposed to be at 18 lbs but they saw it at 22 lbs? Mine lost maybe a 2 L of glycol in the last 16000km and 8 months, so not extreme.

IMO 2 L in 16000km = 9941.9 miles is a little extreme.
I haven't put in much more than one quart over 20,000 miles.
I'd be checking to see where the leaking might be, maybe out the exhaust which could be the reason for 22 lbs.
Is your EGR still on?

I run a 20 lbs coolant cap and have for the last several years with no loss of coolant. At least that is what is called for according to ALLDATADIY (13502353 ). Can't believe that GM would design a cooling system that couldn't stand so little pressure as the 18 lbs quoted to you.
