I removed the injectors without the special tool. If you remove the bolt for the injector "C clamp", you can insert a metal punch that fits the hole on the clamp. You can now "pry" the injector out of the sleeve. The "c clamp" will lift the injector as you pry. Worked great for me. Some of the sleeves will come out with the injector. You will probably notice buildup between the injector and sleeve. Use a rebuild kit (new washer, rings, etc.) for the new injectors. If you remove the sleeves, check the o-rings.
