So this is my first time spraying cabinets(wood) with paint. I'm using an HVLP gun with an oil base and the primer isn't laying down smooth. It's got a rough texture. Is that normal? Im using a 70% overlap spray pattern. Maybe I need more thiner? I'm only using a little maybe 1-2 oz in 24oz of paint. I'm getting good coverage. Perhaps the cabinets need more sanding they did fuzz up a little, but I don't think that's the cause of the roughness.

Needed more thiner and a pair term told me a little sanding is normal too. Love this HVLP guy. It beats the heck out of the old hight pressure guns I used in the past.
