I put Hummer 17" rims and Michelin LTX265/70R17 tires on my truck. LTX 17's are 31.8" tall, 656 revs/mile, and at rec 35 psi carry 2305 lbs. the oem size 245/75R16 Michelin LTX 30.4" tall, 684 revs/mile and at 35 psi carry 2065 lbs. A 245/75R16 ld range E LTX 30.7" tall, 681 revs?milr, and 3042lbs @ 80psi. I used 17's as I wanted to lower my 2wd for ease of entry and lower center of gravity. I drive truck 50-60,000 miles/year for business. Tall truck in and out all day wears you out. Hummer chrome oem wheels are cheap, $300 + shipping on e-bay. Used a McGaughy's lower kit. If any one is interested I can post pics. Tires ride great and I have put as much as 90,000 miles on LTX tires before they loose wet traction.
