Hey Neighbors,
The wonder of the internet! I found this lovely abode will searching the internet in preparation for purchasing my next vehicle. What a place! I currently drive a '96 K1500-Z71 and love it. She's gettin' tired and I'm ready for something bigger with better towing power. My dream ride is a 200? Chevy 2500 HD 4x4 crew cab long bed. I have yet to really dig into the consumer reports guides(if you believe in that), but I'm curious if there are any particular years or makes I should be on the lookout for. Between LLM, LBZ, LLY and LB7, I'm lost. Any recomendations or advise would be great appeciated. I plan on towing the occassional boat or toybox trailer and light offroading in the local mountains and Mexico.

You have a tough decision to make.....the LB7 and the LLY are not available in the form of a brand new ride where the other two are. So if you want new that elliminates 1/2 your choices.

I wanted new in 03 so mine is a LB7 , but I think that all your choices will do the job.

You need to ask yourself :

New or Used ?? Good market for both / How much you looking to spend ??

Keep in mind that they all have had (or will) certain problems...and if you read posts in this site...you will be informed by the best !!
