at 86,000+- the heater in my def tank went out along with some other crap w/ it (according to dealer) i fixed the problem and my mpg at 80mph has since increased from 12mpg to 20mpg. at 60mph my old girl averages 24!
I would venture a guess that 99% of all LML's had DEF related issues within 150,000 miles. For once, the service advisor at the dealership is shooting straight with you. Continuing problems with emissions-related components are inevitable.
There is only one way to certainly prevent emissions-related issues on LML's. The first time you are 10 miles from home in the middle of the night and are limited to 5mph (two hours away) driving a 6500# skateboard, you'll figure out how to prevent those continuing issues.
