I have a '04 Chevy 2500HD. It had 285-75-16's on when I got it, but I decided to go with 265-75-16's for towing reasons. I will have to say that it looked better with the larger tires on it, but I changed them for 2 reasons: 1). It was not a good set-up for towing 2). The t-bars was apparently cranked all the way with was causing a harsh ride. Nevertheless I had 265's installed and the t-bars lowered back to factory specs. I never realized how low factory specs were though, and now my truck looks like a 2WD!! There is about 3 1/2 inches difference from the front to the back and I was wondering if I could raise the T-Bars about 1 1/2 - 2 inches without causes any issues with towing? I'm not looking for it to be level, I just don't want it to look like a Hot Rod Chevy Nova!!! Also if anyone has a stock 2500HD SB CC D/A 4x4 with the stock 245's, I would like to know how many inches there are from the top of the tire to the fender front & rear. ( just as a reference guide)

did you lower it back down or have someone else do it? most likely it was lowered to much. stock there should be a 2" difference front to rear, or very close to it. crank em up some and get the desired hieght you want.

I have green keys and cranked em 2 1/2-2 3/4", air bags on back and 285's on 16x8's. No problems towing 35' toy hauler or sled deck. 285's on stock rims are not best combo for towing, stock rims are to skinny (6.5" wide). Ride is stiffer with t-bars cranked but no more roll in corners, Feels like a truck now.
