Who's into horns? Big rig horns or train horns?
Got a surprise on the way.

I would love a louder horn for the HD. What do you have in mind?

I saw a train horn installed on a Ram dooley the other day. WOW! They had to remove the spare to have a place to in stall it. Sounded great!

Hope you have a tank and compressor. The compressor only setups leave a lot to be desired.

This is a Nathan/AirChime K3LA Loco horn... A little paint, a nice valve, and a N2 cylinder should do it. (Been researching). They won't be visible but you might hear them

Thought about lp but was told it would alter the sound and attack the seals.

I running a triple train horn setup on my KW.
You should see the eyes on people when they hear a set of them on a semi let alone a pickup. They are also chrome plated and can be bought at www.iowa80.com for $149.99 plus shipping. They are also great people to deal with. Installation was an ease but you have to spend the extra money and get the valve to control them, a switch just don't make them sound like they should. I'm cosidering running a set on my truck after I get my air tank and compressor on for my air bags.

Hope this helps!!Edited by: goin' pullin'

Nitrogen? How about a "blast" of propane!

Yeah, Hoot! Chrome those babies up, mount 'em on the hood, gas 'em up with propane and put a barbeque piezo sparker in each one. Not only the sound of a fast freight train, but tongues of BLUE FLAME!!

Those imitation ones work pretty well and can be installed much easier than the one I'm getting.

A friend of mine has one on his Dmax. It's real loud and has a pretty authentic note.... but you can't miss the sound of the real thing.

My install may well need to be easily removable. I may have to set it up in the bed. I'll see when I get it. That's why I got the three chime. The five chimers are gigantic. I figure I'll use my lp tank platform to mount it.

I'm unloading the Powershot system if anybody is interested.

Been looking at the Hadley - H00964H horns or the Nathan - K3LA's for awhile myself. Did some extensive research back on the TDP and came up with a new set, compressor, electric valve, tank for about $500. and change. There was a long post over there about where everyone was mounting the tanks, horns, etc. Anyway, the $$$ was a bit much for me at the time so I had to pass.

I think 56 Nomad has a set of Hadley's.

Hoot, I know you were sent to "Banned Camp" so if you want some info. from there let me know but here's the link:

I got the Nathan Horn for $330 shipped. Yea it's a lot but it's as cheap as you can get in the real horn market.

The better 3 chime fakes are $299 new.

For air right now I'm still thinking. A Viair with a tank would be awesome.

Here's my buddies setup....

Laws...

You ain't kidding. It would not serve as a replacement for my stock horn. Just for fun and an attention grabber on rare occasions. Well maybe not rare, after all trains do still exist.
