Im currently using a typical home made boost controler on my lb7 with a t fitting and a needle valve, my question is the valve just lets pressure in the line bleed out, wouldnt it be better to rig it so the needle valve just limits flow to the waste gate actuater, with no bleed. or is there a reason people dont do it this way? sorry if this is a stupid question.

If you just had the needle valve in line it will limit the pressure initially but over time the pressure on each side will equalize so you may obtain higher boost initially but as the pressure bleeds to the other side it will start to affect the wastegate more.
