275 amps is alot, You need that much. A 200 amp is a couple hundred less$$$

At least they offer the new cable you'd need for all that power ($25.00 extra). I don't think the factory fuseable link would hold up long to 275 amps.

I purchased one of their 235 amp alts last june and it is still going strong. I have since turned others on to them since they seem to have the most bang for your buck. I am looking to add a second 275 for winch, lights, stereo, and other stuff. The other is running just the truck.):h

If I'm not mistaken, I read on a site that you should match the existing alternator's amperage when adding a second.

Yea that is completly true, but in my case I am going to run two completly separate systems so their is not interference. Did this on my last truck and loved it. Helped to spread the load out.
