Ok, this is my first post but I just got back from oklahoma buying an 04 lly. I floored it earler and it won't shift up to the next gear now! I have tried a few different times. What the heck is wrong with it? Lemon? I need some help soon! Thanks!

also, it is'nt throwing a code. Completely stock with 115k on it. It also continues to drive normally as long as it is'nt floored.

You read the codes with a code reader? Sometimes there are hidden codes. Also, maybe the fuel filter? Sometimes they will fall flat at full throttle when the filter is dirty, and then drive normally otherwise. I would suggest starting there.

are there 2 fuel filters like a powerstroke or just one? Is there a resource on here such as a tutorial for the change? Also, do people use aftermarket fuel filters or just order from gm?

Pop the hood. Make sure that your air intake tube is plugged in. If it is, change out your fuel filter ASAP.

This sounds like you threw a 1093, fuel starvation code. This can happen without the engine light on and it wont go over 2000 rpms.

I have used both. Probably about $50 from GM. Can get them quite a bit cheaper from the vendors here.

I just picked a fuel filter at the local chevy dealer, it was $26

I also got one from the dealer, $27 , good deal, I used to get them from O'reilys and they were like $38 .

nothing you really need to do but, with 115k it might be time for some fluid changes, coolant, trans, etc. If they havent been done yet.

When u floored it how fast were you going. Over 75 mph and it won't downshift.

no it did it at like 10, 20, 40, 50, basically every time I tried it. But I still drove it 75mph to work today! I have no clue what it is.
