Took my truck in to the stealer today to get the P0380 code fixed, I was under the impression that the Glow-plug system was covered under the emissions warranty. Am I correct?? If so can someone provide me with a copy of it or a link so I can prove it to the dealer??? TIA -Jeff

It is covered. I had a glow plug issue about a month ago. All I had to pay was the $100 dollar deductible. I believe it is listed in your owner's manual.

That means if the dealer submits the claim with one of those labor ops, it will go through the system as emissions warranty. See if he is willing to submit it that way and if it pays, reimburse your $100.

OK, here you go. Article 1.2, page 15 & 16 in the GM Policies and Procedures Manual under "Ignition System". That is the Emissions- Warranted Parts List. Have the Service Manager look it up or call Customer Relations and tell them where to find it.

This is the perfect info, thanks!!!! -Jeff

Depends on what exactly is wrong, would also fall under the diesel warranty, but anyway if it is covered here you go, highlighted in Red.

Federal emmissions.

The warranty manual isnt shown for the 2002 on SI (Service information) but 2003 is, so this is all out of 2003. Should all be the same though. Give the dealer this DOC number for SI 835389
