I've got an 85 suburban with a 6.2 and now NO BRAKES! and Im out of ideas.
When you go to brake hard the steering goes away and the brakes dont fully engage.
Now Ive replaced the mastercylinder, and both front calipers with no change. Steering was already sloppy so I put a new steering gear and pump on what the heck Ive done all this so today I put a new hydroboost in too. Well still no change. Help anyone please!!!!
thanks much

Another thought . Could it be the crank pulley is slipping when it is being put under load . Been hearing about the rubber falling apart with age .

pully were good but wound up with a bad power sterring pump replacment, wouldnt hold pressure under a heavy load. Guess theres something to be said for reman parts. Thanks much for the responses made me dig further and find the pump issue.
