Eric,

I've got a heated racor fuel filter 690 with the heater. I do not have a clue how to connect the heater or where to connect it. The filter base has two pink wires on it and the relay/themostat that came with it has a red, white, blue, yellow and black wires on it
.

HELP.........

Steve

PS I hope you know what a valuable resource you are to everyone.

Steve,

You might try contacting Greg at Lubrication Specialists, he sells Racor filters and lists the heaters also. I've dealt with him in the past and he seems to be a good guy to deal with.

I missed this one totally, sorry.

The last one I put in had the two pink wires with a connector on it but didnt come with the relay with the red white blue ...... wires. I am not sure what you have there. IIRC the heater has a built in t-stat and we just hooked the wires to ign hot and ground and the t-stat built into the heater would turn on the heater when necc. I think Greg Landyt sells these from www.lubespecialists.com you might want to get ahold of them and see whats up, I am not sure about all the extra stuff

Did you take the power from the fuse block (ign)? Those heaters draw a minimum of 16.6 amps!Edited by: Dmax affair
