I was considering doing bucket seats in the rear of my truck since I never have more than 3 passengers in the truck (4 total including me). I was wondering if it can be done in my '06 Silverado 2500HD crew cab. Of course the old seats and brackets would have to be removed. Would factory cloth front seats which is what I have work in the back? In other words, if I took out my back seats and put one of my fronts in the back, would it work as will the brackets line up with the studs? If this is possible, I may end up doing it and that way I can do a console in the back with a W7!

I don't think the fronts will just bolt into the back, but the rear buckets out of a Hoe or a Burb will fit BlueOx did it some time ago think he posted pics.

If IIRC the Cognito show truck (2500HD) at Sema had buckets in the rear. I think there was some sort of crazy subwoffer enclosure between them.

I Got Em

I got bucket seats in the rear. . . Took them out of a newer suburban. The driver side bolts in but the rear needs a little custom braketry

So I have to get the seats out of a newer Surburban or Tahoe? What years exactly? Do they have to be the rear seats or front seats? I could always modify/fabricate, but I was looking for the easiest way first. If I have no choice, then I have no problem fabricating or modifying the stock brackets. I have a '06 2500HD crew cab with black/charcoal cloth interior. Do the newer Surburbans and Tahoes have the same cloth design and color?

I don't think you'll find second row buckets in cloth, but I could be wrong. Mostly the second row buckets are on the SLT, LT3 whatever they designate them now...

Can anyone confirm this?

If that is true, then I guess I could always buy a set of fronts from the year model trucks that have identical seats as I do, then just fabricate or modify the factory brackets.

the front seats im sure would work but most of them are power and i didnt want to deal with wiring that. If you use the seats out of a burb or tahoe then the driver side will bolt right in while the passenger a simple bracket can be made. PM with questions

From a previous post, someone stated that I won't find cloth rear buckets out of a Tahoe or Surburban because those with rear buckets are in leather. I need to confirm this.

What I want is a matching set of bucket seats in black/charcoal color for my '06 2500HD crew cab. I don't mind modifying or fabricating if need be.

You can find them on ebay or if you call a conversion shop, you can find ones that they have pulled out of other vehicles, and you might get lucky. I have seen retrofitted front buckets in a crew cab as back seats. The cool thing was the heated portion and lumbar controls worked as well.

Can someone please list what year and models I need to look for? I want black/charcoal cloth bucket seats. I've been told from the Tahoe and Surburban, but what year models? Do they have buckets in cloth? Thanks.

To match the pattern of your interior, you need '03 up. I have never seen a yukon/tahoe/suburban with cloth rear buckets, only leather. '01 and '02 will fit, but the seat pattern is different.

Their is no need for any extra parts, I've put burb seats in the rears of four Crew cabs. They bolt right in.
