Doesn't get all the cold here in Texas so I don't plug in block heater all that much but when I do the truck starts right up and continues to idle. However on moderately cold nights (not below say 30) when I don't plug it in I go out, it starts right up, then dies right away. Subsequent cranking won't yield a start until I pump the primer about 10 times. Starts right up then and runs fine.

What do you thinks going on?

So if fuel was escaping then air was infiltrating. Tightened the valve and presto
