Hello all,
I just found the forum after browsing an issue of DieselPower.
I hope that this can be the missing link for my pre-PSD.
I am 37, married to a wonderful lady who allows me my dieseling, the New Orleans Saints, and most of my ideas for the house...
(although she wouldn't let me paint a big Fleaur dis Liz on the front...)
Still haven't figured that one out...
We have a bouncing baby boy who just turned 1 on the 12th, my aim is to pimp my truck for him later on.
It is a 1986 F350 Quadcab/longbed/dually
Right now it is just an old "farm" truck...but I have some really cool ideas for it...
First things done will be exhaust and new(er) leather seats, then at least 6 but probably 8 speaker stereo/media system.
I am in the middle of turning it into a greasel, but haven't made the connections yet.
Repair panels such as rockers, doors, and wheel arches will be next so I can get ready for new paint. (Black with pearl)
I want to lose the dually and go to a single wheel and better daily driver gears (right now I have 4.11, and am thinking about going to a 3.73 with the change)
I will be asking advice on tuning and such through the boards as this is my first diesel that I have cared to keep and make better, so if I ask an ignorant question, it might be that I AM, so kindly bear with me...

Can I re-answer the "rich/good-looking" question at the start of the exam?

Welcome! I just had to say that its great to hear about some one building a diesel for thier son. You have found the greatest place with answers or directions to the answers. Good luck with your project.

Be prepared to get a second job to pay for that diesel habit. Some of the guys in here can smell the money in your wallet through the screen.
