Well after months of having a surge from 40-60 MPH and not all the time, me covered in dirt (dirt driveway, live in the boondocks) trying to figure out what was going on, finally I loosened up the gas cap. Yeap, Advanced Auto sold me a gas cap :badidea: and was creating vacumm causing the lift pump to work too hard. Sometimes the beast would stall if I punched it too hard when those yuppies in their Beamers and Benz were behind. However, loosened up the gas cap and all it better now. Now I just need a locking diesel cap, anybody know the part number for one, thought I was getting one last time.

Now I have to get her cleaned up for tomorrow night, got a date with an RN. :cool2:

got diesel?

remove the large o-ring inside and will allow cap to breathe.

Give serious thought to evaluating the health of your lift pump. The IP is the beast that will not be denied; starving it with a weak lift pump will get expensive.
