okay its been happing for awile but when i turn my truck off i can smell fuel from the engine compartment have not been able to pinpoint it.is this normal does anyone else have this smell or do i have something leaking and i just cant find it?thanks guys for any help

I get a diesel smell in the cab every once in awhile. I think its exhaust smell though, not fuel. In any case, I like the smell so it doesnt bother me

Check the drain on the bottom of the fuel filter to see if it is weeping a bit.

This may not be the problem but it might be worth checking the return rates on your injectors. The smell of diesel is one of the first signs of a bad injector.

I have the same smell right from new when engine is warm and open hood. Sometimes get it in cab, raw fuel. Trucks been in to the dealer 3 times but they can't see anything. I notice starter and bottom of bell housing stained but not wet. ??????
