i get anywhere from 13 around town pulling stuff, to 18 on the highway. i noticed a 1 mpg loss when i went to 265, fairly aggressive tires.

not to hijack the thread or anything, but does anybody else see a drop in mileage once the winter fuel blends start??

here's where I'm sitting for 2007. Not as good as it used to be, but I know I've got some drag issues(brakes) that I need to address

x2 on losing mpg in the winter! In the summer, I can get between 20-22 mpg highway, but I just got back from a trip and I wasn't getting much better than 18 - all empty of course.

I get 16 around town hauling my grinder, 18 otherwise around town. Usually can get 21-23 on highway at 70mph. Truck is completely stock - crew cab with full bed and cap.

-12mpg around town, not towing
-22mpg on hiway, at 1900 rpm, which is about 63mph, not towing.
-the key is best mpg on hiway is to stay under 2000 rpm.

11-13 towing 10-12k
13-14 towing 3k with a wind drag
15-16 around town
18-25 on the highway. 25 is at 55 mph and 18 is at 80 mph.

Lose 1-2 in the winter from fuel / warm up

18-19 empty hwy at 75
20+ empty hwy at 65mph
14-15 empty around town
12-14 towing hwy / town mix

Worse in Winter than Summer and worse short trips than longer ones - it takes a while to get these up to temp and best fuel economy is when fully warmed up.

Not as good as I was hoping for.
I get 12-13 in the city with or without winter warm up. I drive 20 miles daily total and +/- 20 minutes of warmup at cold temps. I get 13 hauling a camper and towing a boat or an ATV trailer. I don't do much empty highway driving so I don't know truly what I get on the highway. I got 17 mpg driving 100 miles start/stop & then 100 mile round trip on the highway.

that twenty minute warm up kills your mileage even if diesels dont burn much at idle. Why dont you plug it in, or just wait till the alt guage goes up to normal and then start driving?
