I have an "04" dually chassis cab,dual tanks.the low fuel light came on and i filled up both tanks full.the gauge will not come off from empty.the last time the light came on I filled the front tank only and it showed 1/2 so the sender in the front tank must work.any suggestions ? Thanks in advance

If you filled the back tank first or filled either with the key turned to run than
the pcm sometimes thinks there is a problem with the sending units & defaults
the gauge to empty,also if their actually is a problem with the sending units or related wiring the gauge will default to empty. the codes will need to be cleared before the gauge will work again(usually)
